The Deodora

It was very nice.The place looked very nice , very clean, beautiful and fresh.All that one need was there with very good quality.couldn't be better. location was very nice and quiet meanwhile could walk main stream of nice stores and coffee shops,parking was easy and handy.
The host was very nice with a welcoming package and calls to see all is good. Thank you very much . I recommend to all my friends.

Very nicely upgraded and comfortable home that was perfectly located for our trip to Pasadena. The back patio area was great for sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful weather. Reservations and check in/out were a breeze.

the management company was super responsive and helpful. The apartment was well stocked with everything I needed including paper products. They installed a second AC unit which made it easy to keep the apartment at a nice temperature. Assigned off street parking and in-unit washer dryer were huge pluses.

The property lived up to the description. I stayed in the unit and worked while my daughter attended a week-long class. I found the Netflix subscription had stopped for some reason but it was fixed the next day. Overall, the experience was quite pleasant.

This small house was a perfect place to stay for my wife, son and I during our weekly trip to LA. I would not recommend any more than 3 people (or perhaps four with two small kids sleeping in the futon bed) in the house but it is ideal for an inexpensive place to stay when you are out and about every day. The kitchenette was a good place to have breakfast before our busy days out. The surrounding neighborhood was not ideal but was very safe.

I travel for business, and was getting tired of the usual business hotels, and thought I would give this place a try.

It is conveniently located and includes parking, and is much more comfortable than a hotel.

The only down side is this place is booked up quickly, so I will be going back to staying at business hotels for a while until there's vacancy.

This semi-detached bungalow is in a small complex in a quiet neighborhood not far from Old Town. We found it sparkling clean, with a well-equipped kitchen. I have stayed in many hotels around Pasadena, but this rental served all my needs, at a fraction of the cost. I would not think twice about staying here again.

The Deodora house was perfect for our stay. My 2 kids slept comfortably on the futon and my husband and I thought that the queen bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect and off street parking was a plus. We are already planning to come back again! Thank you!!

We needed a place to stay while visiting our kids attending Fuller Seminary. It's less than a mile from the school. Easy walking distance to town. The place is comfortable and lovely...and clean! The staff were incredibly helpful too.

As a former Pasadena resident we knew the area well, but we didn't know just how close the nearest bus stop was - around the corner. Since we weren't in any rush it worked well for us.

The bungalow is charming, just right for two people but had some difficult envisioning four people in the unit. All basic supplies available for cooking and cleaning. A wonderful perk was the washer and dryer. If you have ever traveled light, having these items easily available is wonderful!

My only criticism, the unit could us what I would call a deep cleaning. Spider webs quite evident in corners - some at eye level - the futon was extremely dusty and uncomfortable, and some sticky areas where people would general place their hands. The cleaning supplies came in handy, but left the spider webs to see if they would notice at some point.

A cute community. We traveled with a group of 8. My husband andI stayed in this smaller apartment. We were able to give a cousin a place to stay for two nights with us. Great for two people. Fun to share with the extra person for a night or two. We were able to go for the day and enjoy our vacation, but come home to comfortable living at night. Cute and clean.

This was my 3rd stay at The Deodora in Pasadena - and I know I'll be back!
The company representatives are helpful, professional and take extra steps to make you feel at home. The location is perfect; easy access to freeways and major streets through Pasadena. We enjoyed going to the Huntington Library/Gardens, to Paseo Colorado and great restaurants like Green Street Cafe, PF Chang's and for a special treat, Sunday Brunch at the Langham Hotel.
The bed is comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom are well stocked. The washer & dryer are convenient and handle large loads. I stayed two and 1/2 weeks this time and had only 1 small issue. The Hulu account was "full" once and not available once. Other than that everything was perfect! The welcome basket with wine, chips, salsa and chocolates from Trader Joe's is a nice touch. I would heartily recommend this property to family and friends.

Bed was uncomfortable..sag in the middle. lamps were not plugged in nor radio. Clock on coffee maker was not set. Can't close bedroom door. Floor fan does not work. Staff were very friendly and helpful! Grounds and units were charming. Bathroom is beautiful.Closets adequate. unit was very clean.

We loved our stay at Pasadena and the Deodora. We are a family of three and were very Comfortable. The house is well equipped and provided everything we needed.
The welcoming basket with wine and snacks was wonderful.
I had many questions about the Rose Parade and the management company contact was very helpful. Thanks, Karen for all your support. We did walk from the house to the parade seatings and back!!!

Deodora provided my wife and I with a comfortable living situation while we were in the LA area. Everything we needed was available. I would recommend a second air conditioner unit for those hot days. Other than that, no concerns!

We definitely enjoyed our stay at The Deodora. The bungalow is small, but very well-equipped with anything you might need. We cooked meals there every day and enjoyed using the dishwasher. The rental company is excellent and when we had a problem with the lock on the back gate they sent someone out immediately. Our only reservation about the bungalow was the location. It's in an up and coming area, but not the best neighborhood we've stayed in. That said, we felt safe enough and extended our visit by two days. All in all staying at The Deodora was a very positive experience.

The first thing I noticed about the Deodora was how cute it was, then how CLEAN it was. I needed to be in Pasadena for 2 weeks and chose the Deodora because of it's affordability and close proximity to Old Pasadena (about a 15 minute walk). Being a woman by myself, I didn't want to walk around the area after dark (which I would have if I was in a hotel on Colorado Blvd), and since I didn't have a rental car, I ended up staying in most evenings unless someone picked me up. During the day, though, I felt perfectly safe walking into Old Pasadena. The kitchen had everything I needed and the on-site laundry was definitely a plus. I didn't have any problems whatsoever during my stay, so had no need to contact management. I did request an early check-in, which they were very willing to accommodate. Overall, a great experience!

We loved this little bungalow! It was perfect and spotless when we arrived. I have a 2 and 3yr old and the front gated courtyard was perfect for them to play. The house was fully stocked and I loved that they had a vacuum as well. Everything was great. The only thing was the bedroom does not have a t.v.
We were gone most days till late in the evening, so not a big deal for us. We also had to extend by a night and it was not a problem. I liked that we were checked on when we arrived and again the next day to make sure we were satisfied with everything! Great place. We will be back...

We enjoyed our stay at the Deodora. It was exactly what we needed for our little family. It was clean,well manicured,and in good repair. The back 'yard' was very small, however the grill served its purpose. The futon was very comfortable. The kitchen was modern and had everything we needed. The only thing it lacked were plastic cups for our little kids. The company even called me to check in and make sure that I did not need anything.

Katy's bungalow in Pasadena is great! It's extremely clean and very cozy; they provide tons of towels--the shower has awesome water pressure!--and the kitchen is super cute. The bed is comfortable, and there's even a sweet little area in the back to sit with coffee and/or a book. The bungalow is just a few minutes drive away from great shops and cafes in Pasadena, as well as the Huntington library. I stayed at Katy's bungalow for the month of July while I was on fellowship at the Huntington, and it was pretty much perfect. The only issue I faced was that the air conditioner was struggling to cool down the place; but Katy and her team were extremely responsive and got a repair person over very quickly. Wonderful and conscientious hosts.

I enjoyed my time at The Deodora. The pictures do a good job of describing the place. The shower had great pressure. The kitchen was well stocked. All the furniture were in good condition, and the bed was comfy! There's a nice little patio where you can grill or sit and have a cup of coffee. While I was here they even installed another AC unit in the living room, and it made it so easy to get the apartment the exact temperature I wanted. Having the washer and dryer was very convenient. The street is quiet and close to Old Pasadena. It's also super convenient to take the bus at the end of the street to Colorado Blvd.

This was HOME for us since we were there for 2 months. It was perfect for 2 of us. Pasadena is beautiful. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful and nice, and the everything is clean. They were very accommodating. My only critique is that it can get pretty hot. They had a fan that didn't work and the AC isn't always the best. Wifi was great and the washer/dryer are amazing! We would stay here again!

While we would have preferred being south of 210, the neighborhood was safe and quiet. Convenient (5 min drive, 20 min walk) to downtown. The apartment is small but perfect for two people. Modern, well appointed, and stocked with every convenience of home. Attentive host and great welcome basket. Highly recommended.

We had a sporting event at the Rose Bowl pool. The Deodora was perfect for our family. There were several restaurants nearby. We were minutes from the pool.the washer/dryer came I super handy, it as well as the fridge and dishwasher. The place is nice and clean. There's an enclosed front yard that kids can be in.We will book it again next year!

My husband and I could not have asked for more. Kathleen was INCREDIBLY accommodating, personable, welcoming, and just wonderful to us. We stayed in this perfect little home for over a week, and felt as "at home" as we could have felt in a city far from home, carting along our newborn baby. The manual is very useful, and the welcome basket was just perfect! Brand new, awesome washer/dryer came in very handy with a newborn! I have severe dust mite allergies and had no problems at all in this bungalow--it appeared to be professionally cleaned. NOTE: The bed mattress is SUPER soft. Finally, good location! The immediate vicinity is not A+++, but a short walk across the highway is the adorable little old town. I ran several miles frequently during our stay without any issues. We also walked to Ralph's, Target, the movies, and Trader Joe's.

My parents and I stayed at this place for 2+ weeks and enjoyed the place more and more each day. The bathroom and kitchen are new and clean. The kitchen has everything we need. Beautiful place with new modern decor. The owner responded to our enquiries within hours and she is very helpful and efficient. We will definitely pick this place again. The only con is that the living room/kitchen area was a bit hot in the late afternoon even with air con and fan on. Overall experience is still great, no wonder this place is so popular!

Property description was as described, except the photos on VRBO didnt show a front yard, & I wondered about a place for my small dog to potty. Surprisingly, it has a great front lawn! But FYI, there apparently is another dog on property, as there were several uncleaned poops. Just wanted to let you know it wasnt my dog! I also walked my dog everyday & felt safe in neighborgood. Property was in excellent condition, nicely decorated, clean & well-stocked with necessities. Did not need to contact management. We did have a problem with the futon, as we never have operated one, but ran into a team member restocking supplies, & she gave us some hints. Definitely would recommend this property. It was close to a good friend, which is why we originally chose it. We previously had stayed in a hotel in Monrovia, but for us, this was a much better location & definitely more comfortable than a hotel. Will be staying again our next visit.

My daughter and I arrived at The Deodora after a 13 hour flight. We were pleasantly surprised to find a comfortable home, albeit small, simply furnished and a little quaint.
The entry code sent to us 3 days prior was duly amended, at our request, due to our safety concerns. Perhaps an alternative method of sending the code, without the FULL address of the unit in the same e-mail could be done for future clients. Kathleen, very kindly, contacted my mother-in-law's cell phone, while we were in the car en-route to the unit with the new code. We appreciated this.
At the start of our 3 week stay, we encountered problems with the clothes washer and the response was very quick. When it was determined that the washer's control panel was not working properly, a brand new replacement was made within 48 hours. I could not find fault with this! Delighted I had a brand new washer for my 3-week stay!
We had drainage problems in the kitchen sink and dishwasher towards the end of our stay. This was taken care of within the day! Super impressed that Kathleen had the resources to call upon at her finger-tips (it was after 5:00pm that day too).
Possible improvements: cleaner windows, AC in living room (AC was only in the bedroom and window type unit so very noisy), cleaner patio areas, hand held shower head, more towel racks in the bathroom.

This little place was beyond what I expected. Everything that you could think of that you may need was available. Everything was very clean and easily accessible. If I ever come back to California, this will definitely be my go to place.

for a few side comments though, I do recommend maybe an extra roll of toilet paper. The directions as to where the patio light weren't all that clear to me or my family. Also, maybe keep the laundry detergent inside under the sink... the bottle looked a little dirty when kept outside.

however, those few things are very small details and aren't crucial. Nor did they take away from the stay in this wonderful home.

My family loved the deadora, the way you guys have it set up made it feel very homely to us! We go back every year to California and now we will only be coming back to you guys! Everything about the place is perfect the only cons I found was not enough toilet paper for my family , and drying sheets for the drier , also the ac should be central instead of the window one , as parts of the house would be hot and musty! Other then that we can't complain, it felt like home away from home

I was very pleased with the location, cleanliness and overall state of Deodora. The home had everything we needed and the owner went above and beyond with a very nice gift basket. The only thing I would change is the need for a new mattress and box spring.

My husband and I stayed here for ten days while visiting our son. The Deodora was very clean and simply but adequately furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was larger than expected. The kitchen was supplied well enough to allow us to cook a couple of complete meals. The laundry room has newer appliances. It was within walking distance of Old Pasasdena. Kathleen answered any questions immediately. We would definitely stay here again. We were also glad to find brochures relevant to the area in one of the TV cabinet drawers.

The Deodora is the ideal long term stay at an affordable price. My husband and I stayed here for 2.5 months. It’s ideally located and appointed. Off street parking, a separate bedroom, laundry, a dishwasher and really good wifi. It’s hard to find affordable places for a long term stay in Pasadena. Be sure to go to Dina’s for a burger or breakfast burrito. Also be sure to check out the tamale bar at Vallarta. Also a perfect 3 mile walking loop at the Rose Bowl. We’ll be using this place again in the future.

We (2) really enjoyed our 3 day stay. We felt very comfortable in the neighborhood and felt safe and welcome walking around.
We had a couple of cool evenings and needed to fire up the furnace but weren't sure how. A phone call and someone showed up within the hour to take care of our problem.
My only concern was the additional fees that aren't optional (Damage Protection and cleaning fee). If they aren't optional they should be just figured in to the daily rate.
This isn't really related to the unit but the practice of the management company.
Overall would recommend and stay again.

My husband and I were SO impressed with this VRBO! First, great AC and a super comfortable bed. Those are the most important things for us when staying in LA/Southern California. Second, everything was so well decorated, organized, and cleaned! It was the perfect little place for 2, and not bad when we had 4 of us for a night. They literally thought of everything and supplied all of the things you would need for a vacation, that you might not normally pack in a suitcase. I would 100% recommend this rental. And we will 100% book it again next time we come to town!!!

It was first time I am using VRBO and whole process went very smoothly. The property manager emailed me with with details on the location, parking and how to enter the property and it all went well. Description on website matched well with the place and it was very clean and well supplied with dishes and utensils. Only things that I found not working was DVD player not connected to TV and CD player not working but this was minor and I really did not need these. I would definitely use the place again if I am visiting this area.

I knew the area well and this location was exactly where I wanted to be. For others who does not know the area, It is walking distance from Colorado St where all the restaurants and shopping are. It is about 30-40 mins drive from LA downtown. Angeles National Forest is not too far and there are great hiking trails in the area within 20 mins of driving.
