Beachfront Cottage

We loved this spot. The private yard and secluded beach were great. We were very close to town. The house is rustic compared to US standards but comfortable and had everything we needed. You can walk down the beach to Banana Azul for food or drinks.

I can’t say enough how great this little beachfront house is!! A girlfriend and I stayed here two nights while exploring the area and we both agreed that our only mistake was not staying longer. Each morning we woke up and had coffee then walked the beach to grab the most delicious breakfast we had while in Costa Rica. Oh and the birds!! It was so relaxing and fulfilling to just listen to them singsong. We are already discussing how we can come back.

perfect experience
Perfect experience: the communication, how clean and tidy the place was, the location (how close to the beach vs Puerto Viejo center), everything was amazing. Totally recommended, for either small groups of friends or a small family.

We had a great time at the condo. It was clean, spacious and we loved the balcony with its view! We woke up and fell asleep to the sound of the ocean. Being able to use the pool of the Crocs Casino Resort is a big bonus since swimming in the ocean is not really possible.
The check in and out times however were not really convenient. We found 10am too early and 4pm too late.
I only give 4 stars to the general condition because the lock of the balcony is broken.
Nevertheless we had a great time.

We checked in just fine, and found the property as described. We did notice on the dining room table that something from the ceiling were falling on the table. All we could do was clean it up, and eat somewhere else. The doors were always locked, and we felt safe. We did not use any of the kitchen items, except the refrigerator, which was fine. The home is in a beautiful area right on the beach. It's a shame the house is disintegrating.

The host was excellent and the place is clean. The location was perfect for us. A 15/20 min walk into town. Groceries are nearby, closer. Steps from a great beach to sun. Fairly large wave action.

This place was perfect for what we were looking for. Easy communication when booking and arriving. House manager was the sweetest ever! Felt like I had known her forever! We will definitely return!

The apartment has a very beautiful terrace and is right by the sea. The furniture and the walls and the furniture are made of wood, therefore the apartment is very dark inside, it looks a little oppressive. Maybe it only seemed that way because it was raining so much. Due to the open construction, the humidity penetrated into all materials, which made them difficult to dry and they remained clammy. The second mirror would be nice. The knives could be sharpened again. In the afternoon ants crawl into the house but the next morning they are gone again. That‘s why they didn‘t bother us.
The hammocks are very great to relax. I loved the short way trough the garden to go to the beach.
